BlogPane

Today, we (Ajith and myself) are finally releasing the beta version of BlogPane!

In case you are wondering what BlogPane is, have a look at the sidebar of this blog - and you'll find a plugin titled "NITC BlogPane". In simple terms, this is a javascript plugin (primarily designed for Blogs - hence the name) which aims at bringing together alumni in the blogging community.

To illustrate, I've put up this NITC BlogPane over here - and this one lists blogs by NIT-ians against their passing-out year. So I can go to the NITC-2004 directory and find out what my batch-mates are saying.

One key feature in BlogPane is its RSS integration - BlogPane lists only active blogs. So you don't have to weed out those "Hello-World" blogs.

For the initial launch, we're targeting around 10 premier colleges in India. But then, its an expanding list - if your college is not listed, do get in touch with us at blogpane@edotte.com and we'll be more than glad to hear from you.

To know more, goto http://www.blogpane.com
(Edited on 04-Aug-2007 : http://blogs.edotte.com is now http://www.blogpane.com :-)
